Toronto Steak Restaurants
Ruth's Chris SteakhouseAbsolutely steak at its best
by The Cooks
Absolutely steak at its best. Our fine city offers plenty of steakhouses, but we must say, Ruth has perfected the dish--leaving no room for improvement.
Situated downtown at 145 Richmond Street West, Ruth’s Chris has become our pinnacle for "Top of the Line" steak dining.
Brought to your table still literally sizzling in butter…(No diets allowed here) each and every morsel, a true delight.
Little Anthony'sThe look of New York, the taste of Milan
By Bill Joynt
I recently found a gem in the heart of Toronto. Little Anthony's Restaurant and Lounge is conveniently located at 121 Richmond St. W. Opera lovers will become familiar with this location once the new opera house opens, as Little Anthony's is kitty-corner to that planned site. The restaurant is also a convenient place to go if you have out-of-town guests staying downtown at the Sheraton, The Royal York or the Hilton, or, if you are just downtown for the evening.
Donatello RestaurantA cut above the crowd
Now Open at 37 Elm St.by Pamela Bloom
Nestled in the heart of downtown Toronto, Donatello is the perfect place for a business lunch, a party, or a romantic dinner for two. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with fresh flowers on every table, gentle music playing in the background, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. The elegant décor is highlighted by the lovely furnishings and stunning marbleized walls.
Coco LezzoneMediterranean Magic in the Heart of Little Italy
National Post Brett Halliday
Pure joy is the only way to describe Coco Lezzone in the heart of Little Italy, a totally terrific eatery that harmonizes prima cuisine, served with a backdrop of rich natural earth tones that sets the stage for an evening of culinary memories! Under the guidance of ex-Montrealer, European-born host, Steven Salari, this 30-something restauranteur is a rare breed of ambitious integrity, who also lays claims to two other successful hotspots in the area. But it was Coco Lezzone where we spent several hours of raptured dining while enjoying marvellous company enhanced by the slick unobtrusive music in the background. Along the way I realized why Steven is such a perfectionist for he will not, I repeat, will not settle for second best; nor will any of his staff as they all insist on a hands-on approach.
Zucca TrattoriaAn uptown classic
Chef Andrew Milne-Allan has drifted far from his Queen Street origins to just south of Yonge and Eg, where, with his seasonal menus, he continues to deliver the pure colours, textures and flavours of the best Italian cooking with the lightest touches.
