A transformed 19th century cottage nestled amongst the trees just north of York Mills on Yonge Street you will find Auberge du Pommier. For those intent on fine dining, this Oliver & Bonacini gem cannot be overlooked and is a sure bet to impress.

We attended this particular venue once again, this time in celebration of our wedding anniversary. As it was also the setting we chose for our wedding two wonderful years ago. It was nothing short of spectacular.

Once you enter the main doors of this exquisite cottage, you are met by a warm friendly atmosphere and staff, only the beginning of a most pleasurable dining experience.

The starters will ignite ones taste buds--something we linger over while sipping on red wine from a diverse selection that will astound and tease the most discerning palate.

They include salads, frog legs, steak tartar, wild mushroom soup, escargot and MORE.

The entrees, created with genius offer selections in steak, pheasant, fish and succulent rack of lamb (a personal favorite) to name but a few.

This dining experience will be revered and one you will surely recommend.

We learned on our last visit that the chef specialty is a tasting menu that caters to seasonal themes. Presently it is one of wild game, each presentation paired with the appropriate suggested wine. Look for our future review of this exciting Fall menu.

A dinner for two with wine, taxes and tip will run about $300.00.
